Shopping Cart and CRM Integration

The primary integration between LinkTrust and a 3rd party shopping cart/CRM is through using links that call LinkTrust with either a cookie of the appropriate tracking information appended.  Below are some examples:

  1. Click and Conversion Tracking:
    1. Standard Tracking with online Cookie-less Backup (98% tracking accuracy)
      1. Consumer redirects through LinkTrust tracking link
      2. A unique Click ID is created
      3. Cookie is written to the consumer’s browser with Click ID in it
      4. LinkTrust logs all cookie related information in its backup DB (Used in case the cookie is deleted)
      5. LinkTrust Pixel executes on the confirmation page (Page displayed to consumers at time of conversion)
      6. LinkTrust checks the cookie or backup DB to get the Click ID
    2. Click ID Pixel Post (Used for server-side conversions, 100% tracking accuracy with security of using a single use Click ID)
      1. Consumer redirects through LinkTrust tracking link
      2. A unique Click ID is created and appended to the Landing Page URL
      3. The Click ID is stored within 3rd party CRM or shopping cart system
      4. CRM or Cart Server executes the Pixel URL with the Click ID appended
    3. AFID Pixel Post (Used for server-side, multi conversion, and reoccurring conversions, 100% tracking accuracy but not as secure as using a Click ID)
      1. Consumer redirects through LinkTrust tracking link
      2. All tracking IDs (Affiliate ID, Sub ID, Creative ID etc.) are appended to the Landing Page URL
      3. All tracking IDs are stored within 3rd party CRM or shopping cart system
      4. CRM or Cart Server executes the Pixel URL with all the tracking IDs appended (This can be repeated x times as needed)
  2. Tracking Impressions

You can also Allow Custom Conversion Parameters to customize and override the settings configured with LinkTrust at the time of conversion.

All conversion data can be appended to an affiliate's pixel or other 3rd party URL so LinkTrust can share the conversion data with anyone in real-time.  Additional information about  transferring conversion information to affiliate pixels can be found here.
