Adding an Advertiser

 

The Create Advertiser page allows you to create a new advertiser. The Advertiser Details page allows you to view and modify the advertiser's information.

Create a New Advertiser

To create a new advertiser, do the following:

  1. In the Company Name field, enter the name of the advertiser.
  2. In the Account Number field, enter the advertiser's account number, if applicable.
  3. In the Address field, enter the advertiser's address.
  4. In the Company Fax field, enter the company's fax number.
  5. If you received a credit application for the advertiser, mark Credit Application Received.
  6. From the Payment Terms drop-down field, select the appropriate advertiser terms.
  7. In the Advertiser's Reporting Information section, enter the reporting URL in the Reporting URL field.
  8. The Advertiser's Reporting Information section allows you to store the advertiser's reporting location and login information for the advertiser's website.
  9. In the Login field, enter the login.
  10. In the Password field, enter the password.
  11. In the Contact Information section, enter the name of your contact at the advertiser company in the Name field.
  12. In the Email Address field, enter your contact's email address.
  13. In the Phone field, enter your contact's phone number.
  14. In the Fax field, enter your contact's fax number.
  15. In the AIM field, enter your contact's AIM username, if applicable.
  16. In the MSN field, enter your contact's MSN ID, if applicable.
  17. In the Yahoo field, enter your contact's Yahoo username, if applicable.
  18. In the Skype field, enter your contact's Skype username, if applicable.
  19. In the Notes field, enter any notes about the advertiser.
  20. Save your setting by selecting Create Advertiser.

Modify Advertiser Information

The Advertiser Information section identifies the following:

  • Company name
  • Account number
  • Company address
  • Company fax
  • Received credit application
  • Advertiser payment terms

To modify advertiser details in the Advertiser Information section, do the following:

  1. In the Company Name field, enter the name of the advertiser.
  2. In the Account Number field, enter the advertiser's account number.
  3. In the Address field, enter the advertiser's address.
  4. In the Company Fax field, enter the company's fax number.
  5. If you received a credit application for the advertiser, mark Credit Application Received.
  6. From the Payment Terms drop-down field, select the appropriate advertiser terms.
  7. Save your setting by selecting Update Advertiser.

Connection

A LinkTrust (LT) Connection is a formalized relationship between two LinkTrust clients. A connection allows LinkTrust clients to easily copy a campaign from one LinkTrust client to another. After a connection is made, copy an offer by selecting Copy from Connection on the create campaign page of your Partner account.

Suspend

Checking this box stops the advertiser from being added to any future campaigns. Any live campaigns that a suspended advertiser was already running will continue to track normally unless the campaigns are set to dead/expired. The advertiser's name in the campaign settings will show "(Suspended)" after the name.

Code

The connection code is the code that allows you to make a secure connection with another affiliate or advertiser. To make a connection, your affiliate must obtain a connection code from you. To obtain a connection code, select Generate on the Affiliate Details page. Send this code to the affiliate. The affiliate must place this code in their LinkTrust account on the Advertiser Details page under Advertisers.

Status

Status displays your connection status. The status will display, "You have a connection with company name", if the connection was successful. The status will display Not Connected if no connection is present.

See All Connections

The See All Connections link takes you to the My Connections page under Community in LinkTrust. The My Connections page shows you all the advertiser and affiliate companies you have connections with.

To establish a connection, do the following:

  1. In the Code field, enter the connection code sent to you by your advertiser.
  2. Establish your LinkTrust connection by selecting Connect.
  3. To view all your connections, select See All Connections.
  4. Save your setting by selecting Update Advertiser.

Advertiser's Reporting Information

The Advertiser's Reporting Information section allows you to store the Advertiser's reporting location and login information for the Advertiser's website. This section identifies the following:

  • Reporting URL
  • Advertiser's Login name
  • Advertiser's Password

To modify the Advertiser's Reporting Information, do the following:

  1. In the Reporting URL field, enter the reporting URL.
  2. If you want to view the report URL website, select View Website.
  3. In the Login field, enter the advertiser's login.
  4. In the Password field, enter the advertiser's password.
  5. Save your setting by selecting Update Advertiser.

Advertiser Center Access

The Advertiser Center Access section allows your advertisers the ability to view the statistics for their campaigns. Create their login information from the Advertiser Details page to get started. Control the information available to your advertiser in the Rights Management area for each campaign.

To create user access, do the following:

    1. To create a user name, select Change User Name.
    2. In the User name field, enter the user name.
    3. To create a password, select Change Password.
    4. In the Password field, enter a password.

The password must contain at least 4 characters and include a number, a lower case, and an upper case letter.

  1. In the Confirm Password field, re-enter the password.
  2. Select Update Password.
  3. Save your setting by selecting Update Advertiser.

Contact Information

The Contact Information section identifies the following:

  • Contact's name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Fax number
  • AIM account
  • MSN account
  • Yahoo account
  • Skype account

To modify the contact information, do the following:

  1. In the Name field, enter the name of your contact at the advertiser company.
  2. In the Email Address field, enter your contact's email address.
  3. In the Phone field, enter your contact's phone number.
  4. In the Fax field, enter your contact's fax number.
  5. In the AIM field, enter your contact's AIM username, if applicable.
  6. In the MSN field, enter your contact's MSN ID, if applicable.
  7. In the Yahoo field, enter your contact's Yahoo username, if applicable.
  8. In the Skype field, enter your contact's Skype username, if applicable.
  9. Save your setting by selecting Update Advertiser.

Notes

The Notes section allows you to enter additional information about the advertiser.
